Bluebird Kitchen
Optimize Your Home’s Functionality
Relocating the kitchen is exactly what was needed for this family to reset their lives after the passing of a loved one. “Bluebird” was her nickname and inspired the design for the family to feel supported and comforted. “Bluebird” used to love this sunroom and played here. We closed off the multiple sliding doors and the placement of the kitchen sink overlooks the garden of special flowers to bring a smile to the family. The former location of the kitchen was opened up to connect additional spaces for cohesive flow into the great room and made room for a large family dining table. The former and formal dining room also got a make over and became the family entry, laundry and extra large pantry.
The Family Home
Multi-Generational Home gets a new layout
The homeowner grew up in this family home and was excited to get a new update. Unfortuntely, a sewer leak disaster ramped up the time frame and we needed to move forward. Creating a more cohesive space with the adjoing rooms by opening up the dining wall with a matching arch and cleaning up the wall maze for the bar area allowed for a much more functional kitchen layout. We brought back a brick arch the homowner loved and relocated it to be come a center focal point as you walk in the entry with a bold bright red 48″ range and teal island, this big family enjoys cooking and eating together especially since one is a professional chef!
